Indian comics are more influenced by DC than Marvel Comics.

We often complain that Bollywood copies blindly from Hollywood. There are movies like 'Khalnayika' which have copied Hollywood movies scene by scene. The same can be said about Indian comics which have copied extensively from western comics and even Hollywood. In my last post, I had written about similarities between Super Commando Dhruva and Batman. And then it hit me. Indian comics are more influenced by DC than Marvel Comics. Raj Comics is now RC. Huh.

Look at the list of Marvel's main characters. Spiderman. Fantastic Four. Incredible Hulk. Wolverine. Captain America{ Tiranga resembles him to some extent. But while Captain America headed Team avengers, Tiranga couldnt even get an extra role in Brahmand Rakshak.}, Ironman and others.

And coming to DC characters. Batman. Superman. {Nagraj's alter ego as Raj reminds you of Superman's alter ego.} Just like batman and superman, Nargaj and Dhruva are the flagship characters of Raj comics. I am only talking about Raj Comics here as for people born in the eighties and nineties, Indian Comics is Raj Comics. Nowadays, there are many players in the comics business. But they are writing graphic novels. Not comics.

Now I leave it up to you to decide the origin of these characters.
